What you do not care about is how important your thinking is

Former historians, Will Duran and Ariel Durant spent four decades of studying, compiling and writing the history of Western civilization. The result of their effort, the Complete Story of Civilization, was as many as a million words, distributed over 8800 pages to 11 books.
Upon completion of the final book, they came to a more daunting task: they would summarize everything they learned in 100 pages and summarize in The Lessons of History. Undoubtedly this is an incomplete and public effort, but it is also one of the most condensed knowledge resources available.
The way we think of everything from the ability to solve our problems to the extent that we understand how we understand meaning, value, and purpose. Many trends and patterns can be found in the past, and Durant has done a good job of highlighting them.
