In the last few years, there are many misconceptions about how search engines function. Newcomers often have a lot of mistakes due to these false beliefs and endanger the status of SEO sites. In the article today, we will explain in simple terms what the story of the story is and what stories you should never believe. Let’s start by looking at what you should not go into.
Search Engine Submission
In the era of the classic SEO (late 1990s), search engines had a form of submissions, which webmasters and site owners entered key information and keywords on their site. Shortly after registering this information, search engine bots and crawlers entered the site and began to scan and index sites. Yes, the SEO was so simple at the time!
Unfortunately, this process did not go well. Why? Because many of these registrations were really nothing but a few spam and this negatively affected the quality of the search results. Since 2001, search engines not only do not request you to complete the registration form, but actually this method is outdated.
All search engines today announce that they rarely use the addresses registered in the registration form, and their main method of working is to check links from other sites. In other words, getting links from other sites places your content in the natural display of search engines.
Of course, you can still see registration forms on some search engines (including bing), but these forms are debris and are not in modern SEO.
Meta tags
It was a time when meta tags were an important part of the SEO process. Your job was to identify important keywords (the ones you wanted to rank on Google) and enter the tag labels. When users search for those words, their page or site could be displayed to them. But … this method went away quickly. Do you know why Because many sites misused the search engines with excessive use of irrelevant tags and spammers, and did not fit into the initial results of Google without having to do any specific work or valuable content.
Other tags, especially the title tag and the meta description tags, are the ones that are important in modern SEO. Additionally, Robot Meta tags are an extremely important tool for controlling crawler robots. Using robot meta tags, you can tell the search engine important issues. For example, nofollow’s command is to tell Google that this link is worthless and does not need to be tracked. Of course, knowing the function of meta tags is important, but it’s a long time that the main focus of SEO is not.
